I wanted to bring your attention to the November Music Booster Meeting. We will be meeting in the high school band room at 6 pm tomorrow (Thursday, November 19, 2015). Congrats to the Grant Band! It was a great season. To honor the band, we are having a band banquet at the Grant Wesleyan Church in the gymnasium on Friday, November 20, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We would like the meal to begin as close to 6:00 pm as possible. After the meal there will be some presentations.
Immediately following the banquet, the band students are invited to stay for the Band Fun Night where they will learn the results of the mock elections and play games. This will be held at the Grant Wesleyan Church Youth Center from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Please plan on picking up your children or arranging for trips home by 11:00 p.m. The meal is potluck style. Please bring the following family size suggestions:
Dear Band Parents:
This year we've seen our little marchers give so much of themselves toward band and have earned their way to the State competition which could not be possible without the dedication of our director, instructors, and semi drivers (including Andrew Buikema, Makenna, Jake, Duc, Donnie, Tony, and Tom). As a token of our appreciation, we would like to present a nice gift to each of them at the band banquet. Our goal is to reach $400. Christi Evans and I will be collecting money over the next couple weeks. Please be sure that your donation is in an envelope marked "Christi Evans or Michelle Kruzel." There are several ways for you to drop off your generous donation, 1) Drop off to Christi Evans at the Grant Wesleyan Church from 9:30 am to 3pm M-F, 2) Drop off to Eleaze Farrell at Gene's Market, 3) Christi Evans and I will be at the State competition this weekend, 4) send with your child to school and give to Tyler Kruzel or Jared Evans, 5) contact me at 231-250-7374 or mrkruzel@yahoo.com, or 5) contact Christi Evans at 231-519-2685 orgrantwesleyan@sbcglobal.net, 6) drop in the "Band Fees" drop box inside the band room. Please note that to allow time for us to purchase the instructor's gifts, we will need your contribution by Friday, November 13. Thanks again and have a great week.
