GRANT MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL VISUAL ARTS

Artistic expression is the pathway to the soul, and at Grant, our students are being trained by great teachers and staff to recognize the emotions of the world through the visual arts. Whether it's a field trip to a local museum, or a class-room project, Grant students are learning to express themselves through pencil, brush, clay, and anything else that brings their personal vision to the public.

October 2019 - Printmaking
Grant students learning the fine art of Printmaking! It's great to see some "old-tech" methods being introduced that really show the kids just how far publishing and artwork have come.

October 2019 - Display Boards
The Art Department at Grant Public Schools reached out to the Boosters to see about the purchase of some new display boards for our Fine Arts Center, and we were able to help them purchase some new presentation pieces that will highlight and showcase our student's artwork. We're so pleased that we could be a part of this project!

Art Prize 2018

The county wide Art Prize trip sponsored by TrueNorth Community Services was full of awesome, unique, and inspiring pieces of art. The day was filled with good food, good laughs, good friends and amazing art. Pictures and jokes were exchanged all too often, while enjoying the varied pieces of art. There are too many pieces to recall and give justice, but the last piece I will mention is the one that beat them all. It was made up of pictures of diverse people from all over the world, but what made this piece unique and inspiring is the rope that connected them. In each picture there was a rope that the people were holding. The rope would line up perfectly to the next picture, connecting each photo to the next person. It shows that in all the craziness of this world, we are all connected. Art Prize was an exhausting day of walking, but defiantly worth it. It was an experience for the books.
