President - Todd Merrifield
"Having been in the fields of design or communications for the majority of my professional career, I'm very excited to offer my experience and skill sets to the booster programs in the hopes that we can better communicate to our community the amazing benefits of the fine arts programs when offered to kids, from K through 12. My daughter, Audrey, is currently a Sophomore playing snare in the drum line, and my son, Asher, is starting his music path in sixth grade percussion." Term: June 2022 - May 2024 E-Mail Todd at: [email protected] |
Director of Operations - Matthew Maleski
"I joined the boosters because I had a great experience in high school band because of the people that made up our booster program. Even though we did not compete in MCBA, or scholastic marching band competitions, the boosters helped our band with all kinds of things. I want to provide that same level of support to my three kids and their classmates as they grow up in the arts. After high school I would have liked to attend school at the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis MN to pursue a Bachelors degree in Studio recording. My ultimate plan was to one day work for either Lucasfilm, Lucasarts, or Industrial Light and Magic (ILM). However, finances and housing were an issue so I joined the USMC and even tried out for the President's own Marine Band. Unfortunately, that was during the Iraq war and I had to put my arts career on hold. After traveling all over the world, I tried to pursue a career in the arts again once my contract with the USMC was done, but unfortunately it didn't work out again. My mom had to put her arts career on hold when she was 23 and I found myself walking the same path. Life got in the way. While serving on the Fine Arts Board, I'd like to encourage kids to pursue their passions for the arts, but also realize how to make their goals possible in today's competitive and demanding world." Director of Communications - Megan Wirts
"I have been a lover of the arts for as long as I can remember. I started singing in church at a very young age and have continued singing and acting throughout my life by being part of choirs, local community theater productions and the occasional karaoke night. I have two children, one a 2022 graduate from GHS and one is a current student. I love to give back to the community that shaped me into who I am today. I am thrilled to be part of the Fine Arts Boosters!" Term: January 2023 - January 2025 E-Mail Todd at: secretary@grantfineartsboosters.org |
